 Error Description

When trying to import a license file in PARTadmin, the following error message appears:

 Possible Solutions

BackUp Server is not configured correctly

Possibility 1: An incorrect backup server was determined

Via PARTadmin > License management > General > "Start license server management" the server address and the corresponding configuration can be viewed by a system admin.

The "Connect" button can be used to open the "Connection to license server" window, in which existing connections can be edited or new license servers can be configured.

Possibility 2: The HostID of the server does not match the license file

If the HostIDs displayed do not match the HostID of the server, this must be rectified via Support. In this case, please open a ticket at the top right and let us know the correct HostID.

Possibility 3: The license file for the BackUp Server was not issued correctly

If both of the above possibilities do not apply, an error in the license file is also conceivable. Please use the ticket system at the top right to contact Support, who will provide you with a newly generated file.

Number of servers differs from the number of licensed servers

Possibility 4: The number of servers differs from the number of licensed servers

The picture shows a server with two licenses that do not belong to the server where the license files are stored. If this is the case, the error message also appears.
